Julia Duggan enjoys challenges. She lives for finding something outside of her comfort zone or challenges her in a new way. Her pursuits for something new allowed for her to premiere several new works.

These works are "Weather" By Rollo Dilworth, Text By: Claudia Rankine, "The Naiad" By: Matthew H. Schwarz and "By The River" By: Matthew Schwarz.

"Weather" is a National Semi-finalist: The American Prize Ernst Bacon Award for the Performance of American Music 2022. The piece was also showcased at the Northeast Conference of the College Band Directors National Association 2022 at the Peabody Conservatory.

Other major performances include Julia's Carnegie Hall debut in the spring of 2023.

Julia specializes in performing with bands and orchestras, but also enjoys collaborating outside of her specialization. In addition, Julia enthusiastically performs challenging solo repertoire and engaging in the community around her.
